Our products are inherently highly configurable, allowing the definition of a wide range of reference and control data ranging from geographic and supplier information through to transmission sources and transitions. IBMS also allows the customization of application tables, field names, tabs and menu options, thus enabling customers to tailor the application to their own requirements.
We have been successful in delivering most clients' customizations within the core product without compromising the integrity and the functional coherence of the core product. This has been achieved through generic and configurable components, and means that clients are working from a common system, thereby avoiding the client/vendor complexity of supporting multiple versions. We are also happy to add to the many interfaces we have already built, for electronic data exchange and workflow synchronization with neighboring systems, to facilitate wider integration and realize further efficiencies.
The requirements for customization and new interfaces are identified through the Business Review process, whereby our business analysts map the client data and workflow requirements against product capabilities and reveal gaps. Customizations can be undertaken when the client needs cannot be met by existing functionality. Customizations are specified in detail; estimated, prioritized, signed off and scheduled for work under the Quality and Change Management procedures according to their priority and in line with the project plan.
