IBMS provides the means to manage the entire promotion planning, production and insertion process. The Promotions module enables users to compile make-lists for nominated periods and to allocate the workload to producers. Producers can use IBMS to retrieve all relevant information to facilitate timely delivery and update all users when each stage is completed. Promotions can be linked to specific or planned programs, or more generally to time or genre.
Once a promotion is ready for transmission it is instantly made available for automated insertion into the Log. There are a number of tools to support individual and bulk promotion insertion - from specific promotional scheduling to filler-lists.
Advertising-style targeting and measurement metrics can be applied to promotions by using IBMS' Promo Campaign management facility, enabling the broadcaster to plan promotional campaigns targeted at specific audiences and analyze the effectiveness using the post-transmission analysis tools.
