Pilat Media Scores Further Success In Australia And Spain

London and Tel Aviv, 29th May 2001 - Pilat Technologies International ("Pilat"), the Aim-listed Media and HR software and consulting group, is pleased to announce new sales of its flagship television channel management software product IBMS (Integrated Broadcast Management System) to SBS TV (Special Broadcasting Service), a government broadcast service in Australia and Fox International Entertainment Channel Espa a, SL. ("Fox Spain"). The first year value of these contracts is estimated at over $1 million in licence and implementation support fees, and additional revenues are expected subsequently for extra licences and annual maintenance and support.

With SBS and Fox Spain, Pilat Media's clientele is now approaching twenty. This is two years after the launch of IBMS as an off the shelf software product having previously been developed for BSkyB, UK.

The significance of the SBS TV contract is that it marks another stage in Pilat Media's penetration of the Australasian media market where it is already serving 4 other clients. One of these clients is the Australian Network Ten for which Pilat Media is developing a new Advertising Sales system to enhance IBMS and extend its marketing potential. Once this new system is successfully implemented at Network Ten, Pilat Media is expecting to market the Advertising Sales system to other major networks and broadcasters in Australia and elsewhere.

The Fox Spain contract is significant for Pilat Media in part because of Fox Spain's corporate affiliation with the much larger U.S. based Fox Entertainment Group. Pilat's plans to demerge Pilat Media late this year remains unchanged and the preparations are well progressed although Pilat Media's separate listing is now more likely to be on AIM, alongside Pilat Technologies International which is focusing on human resource software and consulting. The Board will ensure that shareholders are kept informed of developments with regard to the demerger over the coming months.
